Collaborators
Give other people access to work on a single site with the right permission role.
Collaborators are people invited to work on one specific site. To manage collaborators, open the site and click Collaborators under Configure in the sidebar.
Collaborator roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control over the site, including managing collaborators and transferring site ownership. |
| Admin | Everything an Editor can do, plus changing site settings, managing addons, and connecting domains. |
| Editor | Edit content and media, and publish changes to the site. |
| Viewer | View content and settings in read-only mode (cannot make changes). |
Each site has a single Owner. Site ownership can only be changed through a site transfer.
Invite someone to a site
Open the invite dialog
Click Invite collaborator.
Enter their email and choose a role
Enter their Email address and pick a role:
- Admin - settings, add-ons and domains
- Editor - edit and publish content
- Viewer - view only
Send the invitation
Send the invite. The person will receive an email with a link to join your site. (Invitations expire after 7 days.)
Invitations that have not been accepted yet appear under Pending invitations, where you can resend an invite or click Cancel invite.
Change a role or remove someone
In the collaborators list, use Change role on a person's row to update their permissions, or remove them from the site. Removing a collaborator revokes their access to the site immediately.
Collaborators vs. Team members: Collaborators only have access to the specific site you invite them to. If you want to give someone access across all sites in your account, add them under Team members instead.
