Add a tour by hand
Create a new tour page from scratch and turn on online booking for it.
Already selling this tour on an OTA? Importing it is much faster. To create a tour manually from scratch, follow these steps:
Open your tours list and start a new item
Under Content in the sidebar, click your tours content type (the exact name depends on your theme, such as Tours or Experiences), then click Add ... in the top bar.
Fill in the tour details
- Enter a Title for your tour.
- Fill in the fields provided by your theme:
- Short excerpt (up to 160 characters, shown on tour cards and in search results)
- Description, Highlights, Included / Not included, and Important information
- Itinerary (located on its own tab at the top of the editor)
- In the right-hand column, upload a Featured Image and add photos to the Gallery.
Save the tour as a draft
Click Create ... in the top bar. Your new tour is created and saved as a Draft.
Switch on booking
Once the tour is created, the Booking Settings card appears in the right-hand column. Fill in your price, capacity, and confirmation rules, then switch booking on. See Tour booking settings for full details.
The Booking Settings card only appears when the Booking addon is enabled on your site. See Addons.
Publish the tour and your site
Click Publish on the tour to include it on your site, then publish your site so visitors can see and book it on your live domain.
